Coach Maddie began swimming and diving at Summers Port as an 8 and under and participated in the Sharks swim team until her high school graduation, helping the Sharks win the SWISA Conference Championship each year. Throughout the years, Maddie broke numerous pool, team and SWISA championship records. Maddie continued her swimming into the winter months, qualifying for multiple YMCA National Championship and four IHSA State Championships for the Alton High School Redbirds.

That ultimately led her to receiving an athletic scholarship to swim for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks. At the University of Arkansas, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as minors in Physics and Mathematics. At Arkansas, Maddie qualified for the NCAA Championship three times and upon graduation held six school records while also being named to the CSCAA Academic All-American team three times. Maddie resides in Godfrey and currently works at Counsilman-Hunsaker, a nation leading aquatic design and engineering firm, as a Project Manager.

In her spare time, Maddie enjoys spending time with her family and her dog Mia, as well as working out at Iron House CrossFit in Godfrey. Coach Maddie can't wait to get back out on the pool deck with all of our Shark swimmers for another great summer!

Maddie has been a dedicated diver since 2019. She currently serves as a lifeguard at Summers Port and Lewis and Clark Community College and recently earned her Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification. A student at Alton High School, Maddie is completing her second year while actively contributing service hours to her school, community, and workplace. She consistently steps up to take shifts and works hard to help make Summers Port a safe and welcoming place!
